The Atmore City Council approved three new resolutions during a special council meeting held Friday morning at Atmore City Hall.

Among the three adopted resolutions included:

• Resolution 2012-29, authorizing the City of Atmore to execute a consulting agreement between the city and David Espinosa in order to ascertain fair and reasonable pricing for the placement of telecommunication towers within the City of Atmore.

• Resolution 2012-30, allowing the City of Atmore to apply for a grant from the State of Alabama for matching funds for improvements planned for the Atmore Municipal Airport during the fiscal year of 2013.

• Resolution 2012-37, authorizing the City of Atmore to retain the services of Wanda Cochran for he purpose of establishing long range policies and plans concerning the use of the right-of-ways of streets and highways within the City of Atmore as well as policies and plans for issuing franchises to entities who desire to utilize those areas.
