ECHS junior running back Gaetyn Thames runs through a big hole in the Blue Devils’ 58-20 loss to visiting T.R. Miller on Friday night.
Escambia County High School’s Blue Devils dropped their game to visiting T.R. Miller on Friday, falling by a 58-20 score.
ECHS trailed 14-6 after one quarter, and 38-12 at halftime.
Junior running back Gaetyn Thames had two rushing touchdowns for the Blue Devils (0-6). He scored on a 55-yard run in the first quarter, and a 3-yard run in the second quarter.
The Blue Devils’ other touchdown came in the third quarter, when ECHS converted on a fourth-and-4 from the Miller 19-yard-line. On the play, quarterback Marquis Brooks connected with Devante Dailey for a 19-yard touchdown reception.
T.R. Miller scored points on each of his drives except for the final drive. McHenry Coleman had three rushing touchdowns for the Tigers (6-0).
