8Us suffer tough loss to Flomaton
Atmore’s 10U Cal Ripken All-Stars fought back from a 6-2 deficit and topped Century, Fla. 8-7 in the first round of the District 7 tournament tonight at Tom Byrne Park.
Atmore tied the game up near the mid point of the game, and plated the winning runs in the fifth inning.
With the win, the 10Us advance to face Flomaton tomorrow night at 7:30.
In 8U action, Atmore battled with Flomaton to the end, but the visitors added some much-needed runs late in the win.
Atmore faces Monroe tomorrow night at 7:30. Monore lost to Jay 23-21 in the first round.
