COVID: ECHA reports 1 additional case since May 18

The Escambia County Healthcare Authority announced today that 1,618 cases of COVID-19 have been reported out of its two hospitals.
The latest number is an increase of one case since the May 18 report.
According to a release, 971 (even) cases have been reported out of Atmore Community Hospital, and 647 (plus one) from D.W. McMillan Memorial in Brewton since the last update.
At ACH, 4,753 specimens have been collected, 3,734 have been negative with zero pending and 48 inconclusive.
At DWM, 4,225 specimens have been collected with 3,539 negative results, three pending and 32 inconclusive.
According to the Alabama Department of Public Health, 3,953 confirmed cases have been reported out of Escambia County. Some 788 specimens have been collected over the last 14 days.
Seventy-seven people have died in the county.
The numbers are updated biweekly to help reflect current case numbers from the ECHA. Due to the timing of the informatin, the numbers may differe from the numbers on the ADPH’s website.
Confirmed cases are recorded by public health officials in the patient’s county of residence.
