Cheyenne Ikner was selected as Huxford Elementary School’s Teacher of the Year on Dec. 2. Ikner will now be considered at the district level for Escambia County Schools Teacher of the Year. Ikner’s family was present at the school to surprise her, along with Superintendent Michele McClung with members of her central office team.
