A Flomaton man died and one other from Atmore were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Jan. 19, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Senior Trooper Anna Peoples said in a release that the crash occurred at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Highway 31 at the 51-mile marker, some 5 miles west of Flomaton.
Peoples said Calvin L. Johnson, 68, of Flomaton, was fatally injured when the 2004 Honda SUV he was driving collided with a 2003 Toyota pickup driving by Brian T. Grant, 46, of Atmore.
Peoples said Grant and three juvenile passengers were injured and transported to two area hospitals.
Johnson was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
Nothing further is available as troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
