Escambia County’s Stephen Williams scored 16 points and grabbed 20 rebounds, and two others finished in double figures to help lead the Blue Devils to a 60-47 victory over Monroe County Thursday night.

Williams’ double-double was accompanied by Cleo Bolar’s 13 points and Hakeem Johnson’s 10 points in the effort. Johnson added seven rebounds.

Williams also had five blocks.

The Blue Devils led 13-10 after the first period, and 29-22 at halftime.

In girls action, the Lady Blue Devils won 55-39.

C’anna Betts led ECHS with 34 points.

Howard and McMillian led MCHS with 15 and 14 points, respectively.

ECHS travels to face Flomaton tonight.

First tip for JV is at 4:30 p.m., followed by the varsity girls and the varsity boys.
