Byrd named to UA’s Early College program director’s list

An Atmore student was named to the University of Alabama’s director’s list for spring semester 2023.
Patrick Byrd, of Atmore, who attends Escambia Academy, is enrolled at UA through the Early College program. The program allows high school students to get a head start on their college courses.
High school sophomores, juniors and seniors enrolled in UA Early College can choose from more than 80 different online and on-campus courses and earn up to 30 hours of college credit.
More than 510 students are enrolled in UA’s Early College program.
The director’s list includes students with an academic record of 3.6 or higher.
These students represent 67 percent of students enrolled during the spring semester.
