President Coretta Boykin announced recently a generous donation of $5,000 from Rep. Thomas “Action” Jackson to Reid State Technical College, dedicated to bolstering student scholarships.

This contribution comes at a pivotal time, as Reid State Technical College recently experienced an impressive 30 percent increase in enrollment, including high school dual enrollment programs.

The $5,000 donation from Jackson, representing Alabama’s House District 68, demonstrates a firm commitment to the betterment of education in our community. These funds will be directed towards supporting the various needs of students at Reid State Technical College, fostering an environment of growth, opportunity and inclusivity.

The official presentation of the donation took place during the College’s annual fall Advisory Dinner, which was held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023.
