Williams gets 2 triple doubles, ECHS to host county basketball tournament Dec. 7-9

Escambia County’s Stephen Williams has two straight triple doubles so far this week as the Blue Devils went 1-1 Monday and Tuesday against B.C. Rain and Hillcrest-Evergreen, respectively.

In his game against B.C. Rain, Williams scored 19 points, grabbed 22 rebounds and had 10 blocks to help lead ECHS to a 60-57 victory.

During the Hillcrest-Evergreen game Tuesday night, Williams scored 18 points, had 15 rebounds and 10 blocks in the 59-54 loss to the Jaguars.

Michael French added 12 points, and Lorenzo Arnold chipped in 11 against Hillcrest.

In girls action on Tuesday night, the Lady Devils edged the Lady Jaguars 41-39.

ECHS will be back in action Dec. 7-9 during the Escambia County Basketball Tournament at home.
