Ethel Mae Mouton was born March 3, 1939, to Thomas Smith and Gussie Mae Couch in Canoe.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Rosavelt, Elizabeth, Mandy, Christine, Mary and Aline; brothers, Wilmer, Monk, Joseph, Charlie and Farmer; and grandson, Bernie Sheddrick Goode Jr.
She is survived by her children, Euwauna Boutwell Jr. of Atmore, Cathy (Jeffrey) West of Warner Robins, Ga., Robert Mouton and Anthony Mouton of Atmore; sister, Mamie Sanders, of Selma; and brother, Robert Johnson of Tennessee.
She is cherished by her grandchildren Xavier Story, Rashad Story, Lairtoya McNealy, Nicole West, Madonna Huertas, Tawana Boutwell, Blair Goode Jones, Bernie Quwaun Goode and Tijon Carswell. She leaves behind a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She will be sorely missed by her longtime friends, Sister Bernice Rudolph, Sister Vivian Campbell, Sister Chandler and Brother and Sister McMillian; her dear spiritual brothers and sisters of Atmore, East Harlem, East Stroudsburg and Lake Placid; and congregations will miss her fellowship.
Memorial service will be held this Sat., April 20, 2024 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, Atmore, AL at 2 p.m.
Visitation will be held on April 19, 2024, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC.
