Apple Barrell scored nine runs in the fourth inning to help lead them to a 10-9 victory over Frontier in Babe Ruth League baseball on May 24.
Brian Strawbridge led the Apple Barrell offense by scoring one run in the first and another in the fourth. Others scoring for Apple Barrell were Derek Martin, Norris Brooks, Michael Harrison, Jordan Drew, Brandon Wilson, Nick McGhee, Devin Rodriquez, Daniel Sands and Matthew Reynolds.
Brooks notched a victory on the mound for Apple Barrell.
Scoring for Frontier were Franklin Boykin, Chris Moore, Robert Hardy, Jeremy McNeil, Josh Morgan, J. Cunningham, Oliver Petty and John Brantley.
Morgan pitched four innings for Frontier and was relieved by McNeil who pitched one inning.
Greenlawn 11, Pepsi 4
A six-run fourth inning helped elevate Greenlawn to an 11-4 victory over Pepsi on May 24.
Chris Andrews, Owen Moore, Kevin Adair and Clay Cummings scored two runs each for Greenlawn. Matt Amerson, Devin King and Cedric Sharp also scored.
Adair pitched three innings and Amerson pitched the final inning.
Scoring runs for Pepsi were Steven Shirley, J.R. Hall, Phillip Eubanks and Ronnie Pettway.
Chris Graham pitched three innings for Pepsi and was relieved by Shirley for the final two innings.
Pepsi 11, Frontier 6
Pepsi had plenty of offense to lift them over Frontier, 11-6, on May 22.
Leading the Pepsi offense was Steven Shirley and Phillip Eubanks with three runs. J.R. Hall scored two times. Ronnie Pettway, John Flowers and Ray James also scored.
Pettway pitced four innings for Pepsi and was relieved by Shirley who completed the final three innings.
Josh Morgan led the Frontier offense by scoring two runs. Franklin Boykin, Oliver Petty, Darrius English and Brandon Moore also scored.
Apple Barrell 7, Huddle House 6
Apple Barrell's Derek Martin scored in the bottom of the seventh to defeat Huddle House, 7-6, on May 22.
Martin led the Apple Barrell offense with two runs. Brian Strawbridge, Norris Brooks, Michael Harrison and Jordan Drew also scored.
Strawbridge pitched six innings as the starter and was relieved by Brooks who secured the victory.
Michael Rolin led the Huddle House offense with two runs. Trevor Daughtry, Josh Montel, Craig Montel and Tyler Wilkins also scored for Huddle House.
Don Alexander started the game on the mound for Huddle House and pitched four innings. Daughtry pitched one inning and C. Montel pitched the final two innings.
Pepsi 16, Huddle House 1
Pepsi played well at the plate, on the mound and in the field as they dominated Huddle House, 16-1, on May 21.
Thaddeus Richardson and Phillip Eubanks scored three runs each to lead Pepsi offensively. Chris Frost, Chris Graham and Ray James scored two runs each. Other scorers were Ronnie Pettway, John Flowers and Kevin Green.
Graham earned the victory on the mound by allowing only one run in four innings. Pettway came in to relieve Graham for the final inning.
Jamie Young scored the only run for Huddle House.
Don Alexander, Trevor Daughtry and Brandon Arnold pitched for Huddle House.
Greenlawn 15, Frontier 7
Greenlawn scored six runs in the first inning and never looked back as they defeated Frontier 15-7 on May 21.
Trent Flowers led the Greenlawn offense with three runs. Owen Moore, Kevin Adair, Matt Amerson, Clay Cummings and Jeremy Rolin scored two runs each. Chris Andrews and Devin King also scored.
Pitchers for Greenlawn were Moore, Flowers and Amerson.
Frontier scored all of their runs in the fourth and fifth innings. Robert Hardy scored two runs. Chris Moore, Darish English and J.W. Cendrea also scored.
Jeremy McNeil, Robert Hardy and Richard Hunter pitched for Frontier.
Huddle House 8, Greenlawn 6
Huddle House scored four runs in the fifth inning to defeat Greenlawn 8-6 on May 18.
Josh Plant led the Huddle House offense with two runs. Trevor Daughtry, Michael Rolin, Criag Montel, Tyler Wilkins, Bruce Smith and Charles Daily also scored.
Craig Montel pitched a complete game and earned a victory.
Chris Andrews led the Greenlawn offense by scoring two runs. Kevin Adair, Matt Amerson, Clay Cummings and Jeremy Rolin also scored.
Amerson pitched four innings for Greenlawn while Adair and Owen Moore pitched one inning each.
