Over the last several weeks, five Escambia County Blue Devils football players have been invited to college football camps where they were under the eyes of some of college football’s best coaches.
Rico Stallworth, Brett Wilkins, Nick Flowers, Montez Curry and Nico Williams have all attended atleast one camp this summer with some players going to more than one.
Blue Devils head coach Kyle Davis said his players attending these camps helps not only them but also the school and city.
Stallworth, Wilkins and Flowers all attended a football camp at Duke University where former ECHS Blue Devil Ron Middleton is assistant head coach.
Davis and assistant coach Jason Barnett each got the opportunity to help teach positions in the camp.
Davis said Middleton was glad to see some talent from his home town and glad he could help represent Atmore.
Stallworth, Wilkins and Curry then attended a camp at Georgia Tech.
Davis said they all had great showings at the camp.
