PENSACOLA, Fla. - Troy Kenneth Johnson, 72, of Pensacola, Fla., formerly of Atmore, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009 in Pensacola.
He was a retired mechanic with Monsanto, born in Red Bay on May 2, 1927 to Troy and Ruby Mae Blakeney Johnson. He was a member of F&AM Ensley Lodge # 278 and a member of Hadj Shrine and was a 33 Degree Mason and a member of The First United Methodist Church.
His father preceded him in death.
Survivors are his wife Betty Jean Johnson of Pensacola, Fla.; his mother, Ruby Johnson of Atmore; one brother, John M. Johnson of Memphis, Tenn. and one sister, Linda Mills of Atmore.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009 from the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Reece officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery with full Masonic Honors.
Family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time at The First United Methodist Church.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of all arrangements.
