ATMORE - Sherman W. “S.W.” Holsonback, 70, of Atmore died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009 in Mobile.
He was a retired truck driver from Nokomis community born in Pollard on Sept. 19, 1939 to the late Pless James and Pearl Trussell Holsonback.
A brother, Buddy Holsonback and a sister Joann Shehan preceded him in death.
Survivors include three sons, David Holsonback of Atmore, Tony Holsonback of Needville, Texas an Darrell Holsonback of Atmore; two daughters, Terry Dye of Needville, Texas and Lisa Holsonback of Sealy, Texas; two sisters, Elaine Davis of Atmore and Margaret Chapman of Pawleys Island, S.C.; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Oct. 17, 2009 in the Freemanville Community Cemetery with the Rev. Arnold Hendrix officiating. Family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, 2009 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
