Braves claim major's city tournament title

The Atmore Insurance Braves scored three runs in the top of the sixth to take the Major League city tournament title over the First National Bank Athletics, 11-10, on June 26.
Clint Lassiter led the Braves with three runs. Jeremy George and Timothy Bright scored two runs each. Anthony Mathews, Ben Hess, Thomas Wolfe and Michael Jones also scored.
Leading the offense for the A's was Blake Pearson with three runs. Lawrence Thomas and Cody Vickery scored two runs each. Jonathan McNeil, Brent Bell and Nico Johnson also scored.
Lassiter got the start and pitched two innings for the Braves. Mathews pitched three innings and Wolfe completed the game with two innings.
Hunter Milliken pitched four innings as the starter for the Athletics. Demarcus Johnson came in and pitched three innings and Thomas completed the game with one inning of work.
Athletics 13, Warriors 12
The A's barely made it to the championship game as they came from behind to edge the United Bank Warriors, 13-12 on June 25.
Jonathan McNeil led the A's with three runs. Blake Pearson, Lawrence Thomas, Brent Bell and Hunter Milliken scored two runs each. Cody Vickery and Josh Dorrierty also scored.
Dustin Hall, Guyel Martin and Skylar Rolin scored two runs each to lead the Warriors. Rockie Romiera, Laketric Craft, Gerry Steege, Laderiel Grant and Mitchell Rolin also scored.
Pearson got the start for the A's and pitched two innings. Thomas pitched three innings in relieve and Johnson completed the game with two innings of work.
Grant pitched three innings as the starter for the Warriors. He was releived by Rolin who pitched the final three innings.
