Northview’s senior night game against the Sneads Pirates will get off with a patriotic start as the Silver Wings, a parachute demonstration team for the U.S. Army from Fort Benning, Ga., will deliver the game ball to midfield Friday night.
After the ball is delivered, the Chiefs (5-2, 4-2)will take the field attempting to pick up a victory for their seniors.
Chiefs Head Coach Sid Wheatley said the Chiefs are going into their game looking to spread their offense out.
Offensively, the Chiefs started sophomore Brandon Sheets at quarterback and had senior Brad Lowery move to split-end during the game against Jay.
Wheatley said Sheets will get the nod again this week with Lowery also seeing time under center.
Being able to use players at different positions has proven to help the Chiefs all over the field.
Wheatley said it helps on several different fronts.
Defensively, the Chiefs are preparing for a speedy backfield that the Pirates will bring to Northview.
Wheatley said containing the backs for Sneads will be a key to victory.
The Chiefs and the Pirates kickoff at 7 p.m. Friday in Bratt, Fla. Senior night ceremonies begin at 6 p.m.
