HUXFORD - Lula Estelle Reynolds, 93, of Huxford died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010 at her residence.
She was owner of Parmer’s General Merchandise and Postmaster of Huxford Post Office, born on Dec. 27, 1916 to the late Robert Olen and Lillie Pearl Isler Pryor. She was a member of the Huxford Baptist Church, also voted outstanding family in Southwest Alabama in 1963.
Husband, William Ollie Parmer; husband, Abbley A. Reynolds and one brother, Robert L. Pryor preceded her in death.
Survivors include, three sons, Gerald Parmer and wife Patty of Huxford, Olen Parmer and wife Judy of Brewton and Charles D. Reynolds of Mobile; three daughters, Levane Vickery and husband, Lawrence of Molino, Fla., Vivian Vickery and husband, C.B. of Germantown, Tenn. and JoAnn Meadows and husband, Zackie of Mobile; one sister, Lena Pryor Folmar of Huxford; 29 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010 from the Huxford Baptist Church with the Rev. Jesse Woods officiating. Interment will follow in Huxford Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Brandon Smith, Kevin “Curly” Davis, Brannon Parmer, Kevin Vickery, Hunter Vickery and Danny McKinley.
Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010 at Huxford Baptist Church.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
