Brewton man arrested for theft of RV

1123-taylor-rv-theftA Brewton man was arrested and charged with the theft of an RV from the Magnolia Branch Wildlife Reserve, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

Chief Deputy Mike Lambert said a Coachman Freelander 3150 RV was reported stolen from the reserve around the beginning of October 2016.

“Sheriff’s deputies received information of the whereabouts of the RV in Conecuh County,” Lambert said. “Sheriff’s deputies from Escambia County and Conecuh County responded to the location, and made contact with a subject that was living inside of the RV.

“The RV was positively identified as the one stolen and was recovered,” he said.

Lambert said ECSO deputies obtained an arrest warrant for Christopher Wesley Taylor, 33, of Brewton, for the alleged theft.

Taylor was charged with theft of property I.

The MCSO arrested Taylor, and he was taken to the Mobile Metro Jail, where he will be extradited to the Escambia County Detention Center.

Taylor’s bond will be determined at a bond setting, the case is still under investigation and more arrests are expected.
