Letter to the Editor
I've read several letters in reference to "Keeping Atmore Clean." I too am concerned about the issue and what can be done. Putting New Laws on the books is not the answer. People's HEARTS have to change. I can't believe one can care about his community and trash it up at the same time.
I sometime wonder what their places of habitation look like! Enough said. We don't often like to be told what to do so, "Let's all pick up the ball and run with it, and make a few touchdowns for our city."
For all you who need the exercise and enjoy walking I'm sure Don Whatley with the City Street &Sanitation Department will provide you with those cute orange trash bags. Give it a try; it will make you feel closer to your friends and neighbors. We can all do a little "Community Service."
