ECHS orientation set for Aug. 3 – 4
NInth and tenth grade students will be able to pick up class schedules Thursday, Aug. 3rd from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. While the tenth grade picks the schedules up the ninth grade will have orientation.
The eleventh and twelfth grades will be able to pick up schedules Friday, Aug. 4th frp, 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.
At this time students will be able to purchase lockers, parking permits, pay class fees such as labs, etc. and fill out lunch forms.
A reminder: To all parents and students No boots, no cargo pants, belts must be a solid black/brown, T-shirts must have no logo and be solid white. Solid white/navy sweatshirts with or without a hood with no logos or designs will be permitted. No Birkenstocks.
Freshman of NHS orientation Aug 3
Northview freshman orientation will be held at 10:300 a.m. Aug. 3 in the high school auditorium.
State &local retirees to meet
The Alabama Retired State Employees' Association will hold meetings in the surrounding area for those retired from the State of Alabama, cities, counties, and public boards that participate in The Retirement Systems of Alabama. The meetings are as follows:
Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Escambia County Commission Board Room in Brewton and
Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006 at 10 a.m. at Atmore City Hall Council Chambers.
Women's day set for Friday, Aug. 4
Greater Mount Triumph Missionary Baptist Church will be hosting their annual Women's day – "Ships of Life" at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 4. The evening will be filled with high praise, thanksgiving and worship.
Rachel Patterson open house Aug. 9
Rachel Patterson Elementary School will hold open house/meet &greet on Aug. 9, at 2 p.m. for first and second grade students and parents. Students can bring their school supplies at this time. Kindergarten orientation will he held Aug. 10, at 9:30 a.m. This is a full day for first and second graders. Kindergarten students will meet their teachers at this time. The first full day of school for kindergarten is Aug. 11.
Parents of new students are encouraged to register their children for the new school year as soon as possible. Appropriate papers, such as Social Security card, copy of the student's birth certificate, and immunization record are required.
