The Escambia County High School Blue Devils enter the final week of the season looking for its second win of the year as they travel to Mobile to take on Blount.
The game will be played Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. Blount comes into the contest with a 3-5 record while the Devils are 1-8. Although it is a regional game, neither team will make it to the playoffs.
ECHS Head Coach Frankie Bell said the two teams come into this game having experienced some of the same problems.
Being the last game of the season, many of the players, especially the seniors, want to finish in the win column.
Not all seniors will be able to get on the field against Blount as injuries is still a problem for the Devils. Jesse Wolfe, a senior center, has gotten to play two games and two other halves this year. Roderick Hines, also a senior, was lost after an eye surgery.
Blount will not offer the Devils any new looks as they will run their offense out of the I-formation and their defense out of the 4-3.
