Mrs. Ellie P. Dempsey, 95 died Monday, November 13, 2000, at her granddaughter's residence in Atmore.
She was a native of Atlanta, Ga. and a retired seamstress at a textile industry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Babe and Fannie Phillips and her husband, Peter B Dempsey Sr.
Mrs. Dempsey is survived by five grandchildren, Darrel Pugh, Velvarae Oglesby, Chris Dempsey, Randy Dempsey and Roxanne Shifflett; 16 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held Thursday, November 16 at 2 p.m. at Eastview Cemetery in Atlanta.
