The Atmore Industrial Development Board met briefly last Monday morning in a special "single issue" special called meeting at city hall.
The meeting was called to approve several change orders to the 643-acre Rivercane project at Interstate 65. A change order is the addition or deletion to a purchase order. Changes can include changing term dates on a blanket/contract order, changing the description of an item or items, or changing the price of items if the order total changes by $100 or more.
Change order items include:
"The plans have been approved by the DOT and the contractor (S.A. Graham) is ready to go," Euel Screws with Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood said.
"This change order covers the road extensions, all of the drainage inlets and the widening of Wind River south," Screws said.
According to Screws, the change orders totalled approximately $760,000.
