Flames singe Challengers May 31

The Atmore Utilities Flames turned up the heat on the Pepsi Challengers May 31 in Atmore Babe Ruth Fast Pitch Softball 13-16 year olds League action. The Flames won, 9-8.
Niki Everette and Minikai Smith each scored two runs and Kaysie Malone, Latesha Lee, Hailey Smith, Katie Mothershed and LaPorchia Flavors added one run scored apiece.
For the Challengers, Taylor Helton scored three runs. Raven Culliver added two runs scored and Leandra Corey, Canausha Crenshaw and Ashleigh Taylor each scored one run.
Flames 8 Mustangs 7
The Atmore Utilities Flames scorched the Atmore Rotary Club Mustangs 8-7 May 29.
Niki Everette and LaPorchia Flavors each scored two runs and Latesha Lee, Tabitha Steege, Shytessa Jones and Samantha Lee crossed the plate once apiece.
Chelsey Hess scored three runs for the Mustangs and Makeria Williams, Morgan Nichols, LaQuasha Pierce and Carlie Broughton each scored one run.

Sluggers 17 Freezers 6
The SAV Sluggers took down the A/C Man Freezers 17-6 May 31 in Atmore Babe Ruth Fast Pitch Softball 10-12 year olds League action.
Brooke McGhee, Lacie Flowers, Madyson McGlotheren, YoYo, Tiffany Hadley and Jalisa James each scored two runs for the Sluggers. KeKe, Diamond Williams, Allison Woods, Kaitlin Rolin and Jade James added one run scored apiece.
For the Freezers, Jordayn Rice, D'Asia Johnson, Kassie Overstreet, Brooke Presley, Taylor Hill and Paige Allen each scored one run.
Rangers 21 Freezers 4
Jasmine Ireland, Breann Rolin and Shelly Mothershed each scored three runs for the Johnson Ford Rangers as they took down the A/C Man Freezers 21-4 on May 31.
Darby Randolph Y-Netta Craft and Allie Brooks each scored two runs and Chelsey Ramer, Page Lancaster, Narissa Wiggins, Taylor West, Shyla Godwin and Jy'Keria Shavers each added one run scored apiece.
Jasmine McGinnis, Anna Nichols, Alanna Johnson and Jordayn Rice each scored one run for the Freezers.
Silver Eagles 11 Rangers 10
The United Bank Silver Eagles squeezed by the Johnson Ford Rangers, 11-10, May 29.
Chrissy Gohagen scored three runs for the Silver Eagles. Ali Martin, Grayson Emmons and Audra Tatum each scored two runs. Caitlyn Bruley and Cayla Gohagen each added one run scored.
For the Rangers, Taylor West, Y-Netta Craft, Chelsey Ramer, Jasmine Ireland, Breann Rolin, Allie Brooks, Shelly Mothershed, Narissa Wiggins, Heather Davis and Carmesha Crenshaw each scored one run.
Rug Rats 15 Magnolias 8
The Masland Carpet Rug Rats defeated the First National Bank &Trust Magnolias 15-8 May 31 in Atmore Babe Ruth Softball 6-9 year olds League action.
Adriann Lee and Victoria Sawyer each scored three runs. Alia Snow, Cexi and Katelyn Daughtry each crossed the plate twice. Auburn Bailey, Alayna Brown and JaQuanda Webster each scored one run.
For the Magnolias, Kristen Byrd and Penny Banda each scored two runs. Victoria Tucker, Jessica Sanspree, Jordan Nelson and Grace Terry each scored one run.
Marlins 17 Magnolias 7
The David's Catfish Marlins dominated the FNB&T Magnolias May 29 to the tune of 17-7.
Y-Chelle Walker, Ashleigh Simpkins and Ciera Stots each scored three runs for the Marlins. Nicole Cross scored two runs and Kaylee Cox, Olivia Tatum, Aaliyah Williams, Melea McGhee, Shardae Austin and Khadija Barron each scored one run.
Ariel Whatley and Kristen Byrd scored two runs apiece for the Magnolias and Jordan Nelson, Ashlyn Glick and Sara Milliken each added one run scored.
Rug Rats 6 Balers 4
Adriann Lee, Victoria Sawyer, Kamryn Mothershed, Trista Hill, JaQuanda Webster and Alayna Brown each scored one run for the Masland Rug Rats in their 6-4 victory over the Hendrix Tractors Balers May 29.
For the Balers, Cierra Caraway, Tabitha Bonds, Allyson Edwards and Lauren Stacey each scored one run.
