The Northview Chiefs head into Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. Friday riding a two-game losing streak.
The Chiefs (4-4) lost last week at home on Senior Night to the Bulldogs from Marianna and the previous week to district foe Vernon. NHS head coach Cody Keene said his team needs to get back to doing what they are capable of doing.
"We need to play well this week," Keene said. "We have not played well the past couple weeks and we need to start playing with emotion again. We have not played with emotion these last two games and we are in a rut because of it."
Keene said the answer is quite simple for how the Chiefs can get out of the rut they are in.
"We have to start being physical again and we need to start having fun again," Keene said.
The Chiefs have not won a game away from the friendly confines of Bratt this season and Keene said the team needs to not focus on where they are playing the game.
"It is just the next game," he said. "We said at the beginning of the year that we felt everyone on our schedule could beat us and we still feel that way. So we need to come out and play well whether we are on the road or at home. We need to get after it."
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. in Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.
