The Atmore MX Park was packed Saturday and Sunday with close to 300 entries in bikes and quads.
The weekend saw riders from Georgia, Kentucky, Florida, Alabama and Mississippi. The track hosted the 2008 Gulf Coast Series, the Big Chill South Finale and The dominos Winter/Spring Classic.
Hicks said the race proved to be valuable for another reason as well as racing.
But when the racing started, the adrenaline kicked into high gear.
Next up for the park is a race date of May 24-25, which will involve the following series, round eight of the Gulf Coast MX Championship Series, round five of the Gulf Coast Quad Series on Saturday, the fourth and final round of the Gulf Coast Pit Bike Spring Series including double points and the co-sanctioned Dominos Winter-Spring Classic.
