Humane Society thanks thoughtful Atmore citizens
The Humane Society of Escambia County would like to take a moment to thank the citizens of the City of Atmore and the surrounding area for your help and support. Handling animal issues in our county can often be an uphill battle. We are diligently working to establish and maintain a good quality of pet care in all of Escambia County and with the continued community support, many goals can be realized.
In closing, we would like to let the citizens of The City of Atmore know that we are now issuing and enforcing the city licensing ordinance. According to the Alabama state rabies law, any dog or cat must be vaccinated for rabies, annually, starting at three months of age.
The citizens of the City of Atmore are also obligated to abide by a city ordinance that requires dogs and cats, 3 months of age and older, to have a city license and tag. You can acquire these licenses by bringing proof of current rabies vaccination and proof of spay/neuter (if applicable), to The Humane Society of Escambia County in Atmore, at 206 Cinderbrand Dr.
