The new golf carts at the Atmore Country Club have been in use for more than a week and already are having a good impact on members.
New country club manager Brenda Gerald said the feedback from golfers and members of the club have all been positive.
The country club purchased 25 2006 model carts from E-z Go in Augusta, Ga.
The carts have several new innovations added to them including an automatic braking system.
Gerald said the braking system is a big help when the carts are moving down hill.
She added that the steering and handling has also improved with the new carts, which makes them safer.
Golf course superintendent Rodney Stewart said previously that the carts have a push button transmission, which is a welcome addition to the carts.
The old carts are being sold by the country club and are selling easily, according to Gerald.
Gerald said that the old carts are being sold and they have already sold eight.
To purchase one of the old carts, contact Brenda Gerald or Rodney Stewart at 368-8861.
