Mr. William Arthur Johnson, 73, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2001, at H.C. Watkins Hospital.
He was a resident of Quitman, Miss.
Johnson is survived by his wife, Bobbie Johnson, of Quitman; a son, Ricky Johnson of Gulf Shores; five daughters, Gloria Johnson of Atmore, Clara Johnson of Gulf Shores, Sharon Ready of Spanish Fort, Linda Hans of Daphne, and Gracie Lavender of Atmore; two stepsons, Mike Farragut and Nick Farragut, both of Servierville, Tenn.; one stepdaughter, Sherry Rolen of Pigeon Forge, Tenn.; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001, 11 a.m., at Wright Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Gary McInnis officiating.
Burial was in Harmony Cemetery.
Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, was in charge of arrangements.
