An Atmore woman was arrested Jan. 11 on multiple drug charges, according to officials.
Atmore Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Cristen Tullis, 29, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana II.
McMann said at approximately 10:25 p.m. on the day of the arrest, APD officers were investigating a possible stolen vehicle.
“The vehicle was observed a short time later in the area East Nashville Avenue and Medical Park Drive,” McMann said.
McMann said the vehicle was then stopped and officers contacted the driver, Tullis.
“The investigation revealed that the vehicle had not been stolen and Tullis had actually used the vehicle several times,” he said. “However, upon searching the vehicle the officers discovered approximately 1 gram of methamphetamine, approximately 1 gram of marijuana, two glass pipes with methamphetamine residue and various items of drug paraphernalia.”
Tullis was then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
